MARYVILLE, Mo. - The Nodaway County Sheriff's Office says that Sheriff Randy Strong recently tested positive for COVID-19.
In a Facebook post, the Sheriff's Office says Sheriff Strong tested positive last Friday morning, when he had a fever of 104 degrees. Sheriff Strong says his symptoms before the fever were a mild irritated throat and fatigue.
Sheriff Strong claims that Tuesday is the first day he hasn't had a fever since testing positive for COVID-19. He adds that he will be quarantined at home until September 6th.
